Painted with the ill-fated couple flanking a tree coiled by a serpent, within a blue dash border.

Condition

There is some very minor and occasional chipping along the rim edge. There is an approximate 1-inch chip along the rim edge showing mostly on the underside of the rim at 3 o'clock. There is another small, 1/4-inch shallow chip to the underside of the rim. There is also a very fine short haircrack running down the rim edge.

Catalogue Note

There appears to be no other recorded examples with Adam placed to the right and Eve placed to the left flanking the tree, a reverse of their usual placings.
