An assembled group of English and Dutch tin-glazed earthenware tiles Mostly 18th Century

Including: polychrome and blue and white examples depicting landscapes, figures, floral arrangements or animals. Together with three printed examples. 104 pieces.

1) 20 tiles with Chinese figures and quarter flower corners: 4 are broken to at least 2 pieces, 16- some with plaster adhering to the edges and a few scattered, minor chips to the edges. 2) One tile with Chinese figures and flowerhead corners: Minor and occasional chips to the edges. 3) One polychrome tile with a fisherman: Broken into pieces. 4) 6 similar manganese-ground and with petal-shaped panels: 5 with minor chips and one with considerable chipping. 5) 8 manganese-ground tiles with octagonal panels: One is trimmed. 3 have significant chips to the edges. 6) 9 manganese ground tiles with flower-filled vases: The majority with some wear and some very minor chips. 7) An assembled group of 23 manganese-ground tiles with dense flowers: one is drilled; two have a large rim chip; 6 with repaired breaks; all with small occasional rim chips. 8) 20 blue and white figural tiles: in good condition apart from a few with tiny chips to the edges. 9) 1 'stork' tile: In good condition; of later date. 10) 1 'rabbit' file: In good condition; of later date. 11) 1 blue and white 'Lukas' tile: Minor chips to the edge. 12) 1 'Noah's arc' tile: in good condition. 13) 1 Bianco-Sopra-Bianco tile: Some scratches to the surface and a small chip. 14) 4 blue and white tiles of varying decoration: The one painted with landscapes and figures is broken and glued back. The others with small occasional chips. 15) 1 'Fish' tile: Several large chips to the edges. 16) 1 'Pomegranate' tile: worn with some small chips to the edge. 17) 1 Polychrome figural scene tile: large are of restoration to the rime edge; broken and restored back. 18) 1 Puce-painted tile: several small chips to the edge. 19) 1 woodblock printed tile: chips to edges, including an approximate 1/2-inch rim chip. 20) 1 tile printed with gentleman smoking: broken and glued back. 21) 1 printed and colored tile: drilled and cracked in half. The surface has considerable restoration to the left side.
