painted and embroidered on silk with silk stitches, chenille and French Knots; the painted face most likely a portrait of Mrs. Tailer; in a giltwood frame, the corners with remains of paper filigree.

The backing has a letter dated 1805 chronicling Mrs. Tailer's demise; a photography of the embroidered picture and a hand-written 19th century family record.
