  • painted and embroidered silk
  • 13 by 9 1/4 in.
painted and embroidered on silk with silk stitches, chenille and French Knots; the painted face most likely a portrait of Mrs. Tailer; in a giltwood frame, the corners with remains of paper filigree. 

Condition

With some fading, stain and breaks in the silk.
