  • diameter of larger 9 1/2  in.; 24.2 cm
the octagonal plate painted with the arms of de la Bistrate of Anvers in Brabant, accollée with Proli of Anvers and Milan, the other painted with the arms of Cedercrona of Sweden.

Condition

The octagonal one with a hairline extending from 7 o'clock to 1 o'clock, running 3/4 of the length of the plate (approx. 7.5 inches). The other with a hairline extending from the rim at 8 o'clock direction measuring approx. 2 3/4 in.

A similar round plate with the arms of de la Bistrate of Anvers in Brabant, accollée with Proli of Anvers and Milan is illustrated in David Howard and John Ayers, China for the West, Vol. II, London, 1978, p. 453, no. 459. A plate painted with the arms of Cedercrona is in the collection of the Göteborgs stadsmuseum, accession number GM:19167.
