helmet form with applied beaded borders, front engraved with foliate SK, square base engraved W:S:K to M:Lmarked side of base N.C in serrated rectangle. Together with a sugar urn, monogrammed BMM, by John Vernon, New York, circa 1790. 2 pieces.

Provenance

Descended in the family of Anne Wharton, daughter of James Kinsey, member of the Continental Congress 1774-75 and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey 1789-1803.
