enameled with panels of figural scenes reserved among flowers, butterflies and ‘Hundred Antiques’, the rim with floral cartouches reserved on a gilt ground with foliate scrolls and bats.

Condition

There is a fine 2 inch haircrack to the rim. The rim also has a very small old chip (1/8 inch) to the upper edge. The base has a star crack extending in at least three directions. It is entirely oversprayed on the underside and is partly restored and overpainted on the interior. The painted panel on the interior base also has some patches of flaking to the white enamel.
