Overall very good condition. The patinated bronze surfaces display a rich russet brown patina, with some scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions, and with some light surface soiling to the recessed portions of the design consistent with age and gentle use. The patina with areas of light rubbing on the high points of the design, and with some scattered small areas of wax residue. The stem possibly associated to the base (suggested by a slight variation to the patina). The favrile glass shade is brilliantly iridized and applied with a dynamic dripped glass decoration. The glass with scattered minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The exterior of the shade with some scattered extremely minor and fine surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The interior of the shade with some light surface soiling. The interior of the shade stem has been filled with silver epoxy or glue to ensure the stability of the bobeche, only visible upon close inspection. With a period bobeche. A beautiful example of this complex candlestick design with a complementary and highly sculptural shade pairing.
