Description

  • 20.2cm., 8in. and 17.5cm., 6 7/8 in. high
of typical form and painted in the 'cashmire' palette with lambrequins, flowering branches and scrolls, the pedestal bases painted with chinoiserie waterscapes, on bun feet edged in black enamel,

Acquired in 2006.

Condition

The smaller example with a chip to the tip of the finial which has been colour filled. The larger example with spray to the upper and lower edges, and underside of the pedestal base, the obelisk is completely sprayed making it difficult to determine true extent of repair. Overall both are in good appearance.
