This work is an illlustration for a poem by Ferdinand Alquié, "Rêve et présage", published in Cahier G.L.M., Septième cahier, March 1938, p. 72 (texts and illustrations about dream put together by André Breton).
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is affixed to the mount on the verso of the four corners. The edges are slightly unevenly cut. The sheet is lightly time-stained with a few tiny specks of foxing in the sky. This work is in overall very good condition.
