Château Latour 1955 Pauillac, 1er Cru Classéu. 3t/hs, 3hs, labels very slightly soiled, 2 very slightly scuffed, 2 with minor scratches, capsules slightly corroded, 3 slightly nicked, pale but bright in colorOn its 60th birthday, this is really terrific. The nose of a great vintage and this is right at the top. Rich, spicy and classy. Rolls round the mouth in leathery, cedary glory, with an opulent, thick texture and, on the evidence of this bottle, no volatile acidity. Tremendous.
