Château Angélus 2003 St. Emilion, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A)58% Cabernet Franc, 42% Merlot Only 25 hl/hectare made and the second highest proportion of Cabernet Franc they have ever put in the blend. Incredible exotic, even caramel nose, with a hint of figs. Glorious in the mouth. Very ripe grapes. Spices and orange zests. So 'sweet' and inky. A complete one-off. So succulent.
