Condition
Lined. The picture surface is clean and stable, aside from fine, scattered craquelure and some drying cracks in the background. There is a 1 ¼ inch diagonal varnish scuff at lower right extending from the edge. Under UV: the varnish fluoresces green, though the figure's face and body have been cleaned of this varnish. Finely applied retouching is visible in the figure's hair and on her skirt. Additional areas of broader, more brushy retouching are visible on and around the figure and scattered in the lower half of the composition and background.
