Condition
Oil on stable panel. The work is bright and fresh. There is a vertical scratch at lower right and frame abrasion scattered at the extreme edges. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly, and in a streaky manner in the lower right quadrant. Part of the signature fluoresces green. An approximately six inch vertical, curved line of inpainting extends down from the figure's midsection. There is fine reinforcement visible on the tiles and frieze on the left banister. There are a few fine retouches and reinforcements to the figure and two small retouches in the background at upper left.
