Condition

Oil on stable panel, offered unframed. Though only the artist's last name 'Bompard' is signed in red at upper right, his first name 'Maurice' is very faintly visible in the same color as its background upon very close inspection. Overall the surface is fresh and the colors are bright. Minor surface dirt. Frame abrasion and a few minor losses at the extreme edges. There is an eraser head sized loss to the panel with associated pigment loss on the hanging rug at upper center. A very few minor surface scratches. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green. No apparent issues.
