Condition

Oil on stable, cradled panel. A few scuffs around all edges due to frame abrasion, isolated areas of finely patterned craquelure in background and in cardinal's robe, and a few very minor dots of discoloration and accretion. Under UV: area of finely applied inpainting to cardinal's costume, chair, face of the friar at right, and the table. Additional strokes of inpainting in background, most noticeably in the walls at left and right.
