Condition

Lined. Some barely perceptible craquelure and pigment separation visible in the lightest pigments and along the lower right edge. Surface is visibly dirty. A very few dots of accretion in the lower part of the composition. Frame abrasion scattered at the extreme edges. Under UV: heavy varnish fluoresces green. There is finely applied inpainting scattered throughout the figures in the lower half of composition, most noticeably in an area underneath the professor's shoe and on the lower half of his face.
