Condition

Oil on stable panel. The surface is visibly dirty and there is discolored varnish across the picture surface. There is an upside down L-shaped black accretion extending from the horizon line at left; a scratch with minor associated loss on the proper right back leg of the horse; a diagonal varnish scuff extending from the upper left edge to the mane of the horse; and frame abrasion scattered at the extreme edges. Under UV: the surface is covered by heavy green fluorescing varnish and there are no apparent issues.
