Condition
This work is in original unlined condition. There are minor undulations throughout the canvas. On the surface there is minor surface dirt and dust; frame abrasion along the upper and left edges; a small loss above the tiger's lower back; and a small minor dent in the upper right quadrant. Under UV: old varnish fluoresces green unevenly and largely obscures the picture surface, though a small area of retouching can be seen underneath the tiger's proper right ear as well as a small area of inpainting to address prior frame abrasion at the upper center edge.
