Lined. Overall the surface is fresh and the colors remain vibrant. There is minor surface dirt and dust; frame abrasion scattered along the extreme edges; and a vertical line of discoloration along the left lower edge. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly, of which a small vertical area at lower right appears to have been cleaned. The majority of the figure's face and neck have been retouched; and there are some broad areas of retouching in her hat and finely applied retouches scattered on her costume. There is a horizontal line of dashed retouches approximately 9 inches long extending from the background to the figure's proper right arm, with a small area of retouching underneath the figure's proper right sleeve. In the background there is a broad area of dashed retouching to the left of her proper right upper arm. There are additional pinpoint dots, dashes and small areas of retouching widely scattered throughout the background, floor and flowers. Some of the pink and red pigments remain active and fluoresce.
