Condition
Lined. The surface is in good condition overall, aside from areas of discolored varnish in the sky; isolated areas of fine, stable craquelure; and a minor 1 1/2 inch vertical scuff in the upper right quadrant. Under UV: there are finely painted vertical lines, dashes and pinpoints dots of retouching scattered throughout the sky and foreground, particularly in the trees and at lower right; larger, broader areas of retouching near the right center edge and around the path and figures at lower left; and inpainting along the edges of the upper right and lower right corners.
