Condition

This work is in original unlined condition. The surface is in good condition overall, aside from minor surface dirt; stable, finely patterned craquelure, most visibly in the yellow of the screen; and some minor frame abrasion along the upper and right extreme edges. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. There is a horizontal line of inpainting visible at upper center near the edge and a vertical line of inpainting along the right edge extending from the top of the vase to the table leg. There are a few additional small retouches in the upper right corner, on the cabinet and to the right of the book.
