There acquired by the present collector.

Condition

The canvas is lined. The painting presents a decorative image with vibrant details. Craquelure is visible throughout. Inspection under UV reveals areas of possible repair, for example: a horizontal line of about 3 in. on the clouds at the left side and a small spot on the cloud right above the flower at the right side. There appears to be fine lines of inpainting to address the craquelure scattered here and there, such as in the urn. A more concentrated area of retouching could be at bottom right. There may be further strokes of retouches to the canvas, such as the background, but reading is impeded due to an uneven varnish. The painting could hang in its present state and is offered in a carved, gilded wood frame.
