From whom acquired by Mr. L.J. (?) Bary in 1857.

Condition

The canvas is lined and as a result of the relining appears to be slightly pressed with some abrasions that are most noticeable on the robe and dark headdress. Despite of this condition, the image reads well. Some previous repairs that have discolored with time are visible on the upper right corner by the dove, on the central left side above the angel, and on the left and right side of the white robe. In addition to the visible restoration, other retouches appear under UV light, particularly on the white cloth. This canvas is offered unframed.
