Condition

The canvas is tightly relined. Under the dull varnish the image reads well. Inspection under UV light shows some scattered retouches concentrated mostly along the bottom left and right quadrants. It is possible that there might be further retouching that is hard to read as a result of the varnish. The picture is in healthy condition and with a light cleaning and fresh varnish will be ready to hang. The painting is offered in an elaborately carved gilded frame with normal wear.
