The canvas is lined. The painting presents a striking image although a few of the darker areas have lost some details. As a result of the aforementioned relining, some parts appear slightly more pressed with some scattered abrasions on the left corner. Despite this, overall the canvas is stable. There are some minor losses and cracks on the lower left quadrant, possibly due to old framing, though these are barely visible when framed. Inspection under UV is impeded by a milky, uneven varnish, but some retouching appears to address some areas along the right edge. This painting is offered in a gilded wood frame.
