The canvas is lined. Underneath a dirty varnish, the painting presents a lovely image. Scattered craquelure throughout with some associated small pigment loss, for example at center right and hand of the Virgin. Dark colors are difficult to read and have lost its detail. Faint scuff marks on the bottom left edge due to framing. Inspection under UV shows what might be an old repair at right of the Virgin's head. Further reading is impeded due to the varnish, though there appears to be scattered retouching here and there as inpainting to the aforementioned craquelure. Painting is offered in a carved, gilded frame. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
