PAIR OF CORAL AND GEM-SET EARRINGS, GHISO

The two coral drops measuring approximately 19.9 x 8.6 and 19.8 x 9.1, capped with rose-cut diamonds suspended from a line of seed pearls, onyx beads, black enameled batons and button-shaped coral; circa 1925, with later modifications.

In good condition with some minor wear to the mounting. The diamond caps numbered 309. The post fitting tests as 14 karat gold and are of later addition. The diamond-set caps test as platinum. The coral drops are medium, red orange/orange red with very light mottling, with some natural pitting. The seed pearls measuring from 2.9 to 2.3 mm are of white body color with good skin and luster. The onyx beads in overall good condition with a few minor chips visible under close inspection. The black enamel in overall good condition with a couple small chips visible under close inspection. The button-shaped coral is medium reddish orange with visible mottling towards the reverse side and one visible pit. The diamonds are of decorative quality. Overall length approximately 2 ¾ inches.
