Description

Centering a modified lozenge-shaped emerald weighing 10.68 carats, accented by baguette diamonds, size 5¾, partially numbered 2318.

Condition

In good condition, with minor scratching and thinning to the shank commensurate with wear. Partially numbered 2318, the following three numbers are worn but may read 868. The baguette diamonds weighing a total of approximately .90 carat, are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. The emerald presents a richly saturated medium-deep, very slightly bluish green color, slightly included with minor feathers seen on close inspection, primarily under the bezel facets; some slightly breaking the surface. Minute abrasions to facet junctions, but very good polish overall. Excellent transparency. One prong is very slightly loose, but the emerald is secure. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1093230 stating that the emerald is of Classic Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: insignificant, type: oil.
