DIAMOND TIARA AND A SEED PEARL AND DIAMOND BROOCH, EARLY 20TH CENTURY AND LATER

Composed of graduated millegrain-set circular-cut diamonds, centring on a similarly set detachable floral motif, mounted on a later tiara base of openwork scroll design, inner circumference approximately 420mm, converting to a bracelet, length approximately 173mm, and combining with a later fancy link-chain to form a necklace, its clasp set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, length approximately 360mm, chain with Swedish hallmark; together with a brooch designed as interlocking rings set with seed pearls and circular-cut and rose diamonds, Swedish hallmark. 

Chain with Swedish hallmark for 18 carat gold, dated Z8 for 1950, sponsor's mark ANHG. Brooch with Swedish hallmark for Goteborg, dated S7 for 1920. Necklace, pendant and tiara fitting unmarked. Diamonds in necklace estimated to be approximately I-J colour, VS1-SI2 clarity on average. Largest diamond in centre of cluster estimated to be approximately 0.80 - 0.90 carats, J colour, SI2 clarity, with a small chip to girdle. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 10.50 - 12.50 carats. Links well-articulated, clasp secure. Pendant attaching to central of necklace or to hoop fitting on brooch via hook, hooks at both ends of pendant. Seed pearls in brooch of white body colour with white, green and rose overtones, with small scratches and areas of minor pitting to nacre, and glue residue visible under magnification. Estimated total diamond weight in brooch approximately 0.30 - 0.40 carats. Scratches to metal consistent with age and use, some areas of discolouration due to solder to claw-setting of central diamond in floral cluster, and to jump ring fitting on brooch. Tiara approximately 45mm at highest point. Brooch measuring approximately 28 x 17mm. Gross weight of tiara (including fitting, bracelet, pendant and fancy link chain) approximately 56 grams, gross weight of brooch approximately 4 grams. Light scratches consistent with wear, overall in good condition. Accompanied by a case.
