Description

Set with five cabochon sapphires, including two star sapphires, to a bracelet of geometric design set with single-cut diamonds, with additional neck-chain, length approximately 185mm, may be worn as a choker necklace, length approximately 350mm, French assay marks and partial maker's marks for Chaumet.

Condition

Accompanied by GCS report no. 79184-50, stating that the sapphires are natural, origin opinion Sri Lanka, with no indications of heating, but with minor to moderate amount of oil in fissures. Two sapphires are star sapphires. The largest sapphire measuring 16.4 x 12.9 x 8.1mm and the smallest measuring 13.9 x 11.0 x 6.6mm. Stamped with partial maker's marks for Chaumet and French assay marks for 18 carat gold on tongue clasp. Stamped with French assay marks for platinum on edge of central sapphire mount gallery. Sapphires mid blue, semi-transparent, eye visible inclusion, some surface reaching inclusions, base of sapphires with fractures and cavities. General wear to stone surfaces such as scratches and rubbed areas. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.00-2.50 carats. Scratches to metal surfaces. Clasp closes securely. Necklace clasp closes securely. Overall in good condition. Total gross weight approximately 54.3 grams. Accompanied by case.
