Description

Designed as a spray of dog rose, each flower mounted en tremblant, the stems bound with a bow, set throughout with cushion-shaped and rose diamonds, detaching into three sections, French import assay marks, fitted case. 

Condition

Stamped with French import assay mark and 18 for 18 carat gold on brooch pin. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to be approximately I-J colour, SI clarity on average, some. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 8.00 - 10.00 carats. Upper section with rose hips detaches to shorten the brooch, floral section detachable from lower half with brooch fittings. Tip to one rosehip bent back, another with crack to metal at reverse, possibly as a result of casting. Overall length approximately 113mm, gross weight approximately 53 grams. Scratches to metal consistent with wear, discolouration and tarnish to metal surfaces consistent with age. Overall in good condition, commensurate with age. Fitted case.
