Each claw-set with an oval colour-change sapphire, to a scrolled mount set with single-cut diamonds, screw back fittings, stamped WAB, Swedish hallmarks and maker's mark.
Condition
Accompanied by GCS, report no. 5776-2463, stating that the colour-change sapphires are natural, with no indications of heating, origin opinion Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Measuring approximately 10.9 x 7.8 x 6.5mm and 10.4 x 8.0 x 6.0mm, estimated to weigh approximately 4.8 and 4.4 carats. Daylight purple blue, incandescent light purple. Each fittings stamped WAB for WA Bolin, date letter M8 for 1938, Swedish hallmarks for 18 carat gold, 18K and maker's mark. Sapphire purple blue, transparent, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some are surface reaching and central on table, variations in shape, surface wear such as chips and scratches, some rubbed facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively. Surface scratches to metal. Screw fittings in good working order. Some solder visible to reverse and a few light yellow areas to metal. Overall condition good.
