The rectangular polished onyx case, with stylised thumbpiece and hinges set with rose diamonds, cabochon emeralds and red enamel borders, measuring approximately 88 x 64 x 16mm, signed Cartier, French assay marks.

Condition

Thumbpiece signed Cartier, Made in France and stamped with French assay marks for platinum. Onyx in good condition, with very light surface scratches. Diamonds bright and lively. Emeralds light to mid green, typical inclusions visible under magnification, some are surface reaching, minor surface fractures, small chips and wear to stone surfaces. Areas of red enamel appears repaired, some surface scratches and pits. Hinges in good working order. Closes securely. Overall condition good.
