Description

  • Ruby, diamonds, gold
Comprising: a ring set with an oval ruby, the shoulders highlighted with baguette diamonds, size 521/2, French assay mark for gold and maker's mark; and a pair of earrings, clip fittings, French assay marks for gold.

Condition

Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 14110098, stating that the oval ruby measuring approximately 11.4 x 9.8 x 6.5mm is of Burmese origin, with indications of heating. Also accompanied by Gübelin report no. 14110099, stating that the two oval rubies measuring approximately 9.5 x 7.8 x 5.0mm, and 9.8 x 8.0 x 3.8mm, are of Burmese origin, with indications of heating. The ring with French maker's mark, each with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Rubies well matched in colour, red of strong saturation with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor abrasions. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of approximately 9.46 carats, on average G-H colour, VVS-VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Minor evidence of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 31 grams.
