Postcard (5 5/8 x 3 5/8 in.; 143 x 92 mm) in black ink on the verso, addressed to Leopold Drey, with various postmarks. 

The world-famous novelist and humanitarian was in great demand in the last years of his life. He was approached by many collectors for an example of his handwriting or his signature. This is such an example, a simple signature on the back of a postcard, the address-panel added in a secretarial hand.
