Catalogue Note

Rabindranath Tagore was a Bengali polymath, who made a name for himself as a poet, musician, and artist. After reshaping Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism, in 1913 he became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.
