Autograph letter signed, 1 page, Woking, 10 June 1902, to the publisher Grant Richards, declining to write about the coronation of Edward VIII ("It is an absolute waste of time writing these topical articles for magazines except from the money point of vie; and my articles are really not worth (to the magazine) the sum necessary to induce me to write them.") — Autograph letter signed, 1 page, London, 22 January 1907, to Giuseppi Bonaspetti, explaining that he already has a publisher "for the translation and exploitation of my plays in Italy." — Autograph letter signed, 2 pages, London, 25 October 1931, to Paolo Troubetzkoy, encouraging the sculptor to pursue his vision of a humanitarian film about wildlife. — "The Function of the Pall Mall Gazette—To the Editor," 4 1/2 pages, London, 8 June 1887, with many authorial emendations, deletions, and corrections, urging the paper to further embrace its turn to the policies of the Liberal Party.
