L'attuale flagello sul...Me mi allontana dal piacere di suonare, e ne sono veramente rammaricato; ne sò quando sarò ristabilito dalla pena che provo per un raffredo[re] orribile acquistato da poccheti giorni, e che mi obbliga al letto...

A noteworthy feature of this letter is the extraordinarily underlined “Me” which is prefixed by an undecipherable symbol which presumably meant something to the recipient. Paganini was a great friend of Rossini in Paris.
