Condition

Dimensions of the ottoman : 45 x 43 x 45 cm. Fair overall condition. The metal surfaces with scattered scratches, scuffs. chips and oxidation, concentrated to the lower sections of each piece consistent with age and use. The ebonised wood on the armrests presents with scattered scratches, minor shallow dents, rubbing and wear, concentrated especially along the edges. The period fabric with fading, wear and soiling throughout, with some tears along the edges. The seat of the chair is partially unstitched, as visible on the ctaalogue illustration. The footrest cloth has been restitched with a newer band of cloth on one side. A poster for the exhibition Bauhaus 3, presented at the Galerie Am Sachsenplatz, Leipzig, 11.18-23.12.1978 is provided with this lot. The poster in good condition with minor discolouration, wrinkling and a few minor losses to the edges.
