Condition

Overall in very good condition. The surfaces with minor scattered soiling. The glaze wirh scattered minor burst air bubbles and surface inclusions, inherent in production. The central area directly below the black horizontal line with a few flecks to the glaze, possibly inherent in production. A minor loss to the black glaze of the 'D' shaped character, directly above the two black dots measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 cm and is visible in the catalogue illustration. The underside with scattered minor light surface scratches and dark blue and black scuffing around the perimeter, with some yellowing to the glaze. The inner rim with two small traces of kiln shelf inherent in production. The work has been inspected under ultra violet light and it appears that no visible restoration has been undertaken.
