  • 27.2 cm, 10 5/8  in.
with an ovoid body surmounted by a tall tubular neck and flaring rim, all supported on a gently splayed galleried foot, applied overall with a rich and glossy black glaze thinning to a warm brown colour at the rim, the glaze stopping neatly above the foot and revealing the buff stoneware body

Condition

A C-shaped section of about 2/3 of the mouth has been professionally restored and sprayed, covering max. approx. 4 cm from the rim. The vase also has some expected scratches and typical firing imperfections including a firing crack to the base.
