Description

of conical form, the deep sides rising from a tapered foot to an indented rim bound with metal, covered overall in a rich lustrous black glaze subtly mottled in russet, pooling just above the base revealing the grey-brown body, the base incised with the character zhong (middle)

Condition

In overall good condition with wear and scratches. There are some original firing imperfections, including a few polished glaze pools and minor nicks to the unglazed foot.
