The present four illuminated "Ikebana" sculptures (lots 58-61) were specially commissioned directly from Dale Chihuly by Marsha and Robin Williams for their San Francisco restaurant, Rubicon, which they co-owned with Robert DeNiro, Francis Ford Coppola, and Drew Nieporent.
Overall very good condition. This "Ikebana" is one of four "Ikebanas" that comprised a special commission by Marsha and Robin Williams' for their San Francisco restaurant, Rubicon. The glass surfaces throughout the base and stems present with scattered minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The base is affixed to a glass plate measuring 20 x 20 inches to provide stability and is not visually detractive. The inner surface of the aperture of the base with s few areas where epoxy has been applied to stabilize the stems when the "Ikebana" is fully assembled. The stems each with epoxy at the bottoms and at mid-height to stabilize them when they are fully assembled. The yellow bud with some surface soiling to the upper surface of the bud. The "Ikebana" illuminates with one internal standard bulb. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
