Private Collection (acquired directly from the artist)
“I am just a narrator who comments on the history of painting in various ways, using new materials: it is like a game that consists of changing the code and the key to the artwork… Many of my colors, materials and textures are the product of relived experiences of other masters. My painting involves much reflection.”
This work is in very good condition overall. The collage elements appear stable and well intact. The uneven surface texture and fraying of burlap edges are consistent with the artist's chosen medium and working method. There is evidence of a few, scattered surface accretions and light discoloration which are likely inherent and also consistent with the artist's choice of medium and working method. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges and corners of the work as well as light surface dust accumulation throughout. Framed under Plexiglas.
