Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is unlined. The pigment application irregularities are consistent with the artist's choice of medium and working method. There is evidence of minor surface soiling and a few scattered pinpoint accretions. Under close inspection, there are areas of stable hairline craquelure and a few, pinpoint losses to the pigment along the perimeter. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, a few, small areas within the lighter pigment fluoresce lightly but this does not appear to be as a result of restoration. Framed in artist's frame.
