Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the blue is slightly more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals some light wear in places towards the upper edge, and a few white media accretions along the left edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note

“Rather than repeating itself, the work is simply exploring further. You have to keep up with the work to see: not how the formula is broken — because that would be a crime — but how it has been bent and twisted to the point where there is sufficient stuff to make paintings.”
