Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is unlined, and presents minor buckling in the upper right corner. The colors are vibrant. Scattered isolated areas of minor surface losses and flaking are present in the upper quadrants of the work, primarily in the upper left quadrant in the trees. Under raking light inspection, areas of fine spiderweb craquelure become apparent throughout the composition, concentrated in the areas of darker pigment. However the paint layer is stable overall. Faint, transparent surface accretions become apparent throughout. A varnish is present. Under ultraviolet light examination, fluorescence occurs throughout due to the pigments utilized by the artist.
