Private Collection (gift of the artist) Christie's, South Kensington, 28 March 2012, Lot 166 Acquired from the above sale by the present owner
In 1998, Banksy performed at the Glastonbury Festival along with artists Inkie and 3D, using a friend’s lorry as a canvas for their grafitti and a backdrop for demonstrations of their art. The present work, originally created on the front of the lorry was preserved with the full permission of the artist, making this one of the very few outdoor works to be approved for resale by the artist.
This work is in very good condition overall. The surface texture is consistent with the artist's chosen medium and working method. Each panel is framed in a Plexiglas box. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
