“The Samurai Tree series has very specific rules… It starts from the center of the square, then grows and doubles and halves… I thought that establishing some rules, I could build up a structure that behaves like a sculpture. So it’s a flat mobile maybe, or it’s a diagram that is rotating and moving and is not behaving like a painting in a way.”
This work is in excellent condition overall. Upon close inspection there is evidence of light dust scattered throughout the surface. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.
