Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. It is made of three layers of board. It is painted on cardboard mounted onto a larger grey piece of board, which in turn is backed by another very thin piece of board. These boards are all in beautiful condition. The work is clean and unvarnished. There is a small uneven patch in the brown area in the center of the bottom edge, and there are noticeable brushstrokes particularly in some of the blue, but the paint layer seems to be undisturbed and undamaged. No restorations are apparent. It is recommended that this work be presented behind glass. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
